PACS-Picture Archiving and Communication System

It is a system designed to create, archive and transmit panoramic and local radiological images in digital format based on the requirements of radiology departments and clinics in health institutions. Due to its high processing and fast data transmission capacity, the system is able to demonstrate a performance that can keep up with the high work tempo. FONET PACS software represents our country on the international platform.

With this system, image distribution is supported by mechanisms such as access permission & restriction, authorization and SSL, thus, security gaps in access to digital images are eliminated. Adaptive hanging protocols are available to meet the needs of different users in imaging. In this way, image processing methods can be used to match the old and new image sequences, so that the user can be sure that they see the same image on both windows.

FONET PACS system can save on storage types such as DAS, NAS, SAN and HSM, operating with “nearline” principle. Besides, the system supports DICOM 3.0 Query/Retrieve SCP/SCU, DICOM Store SCP/SCU, DICOM Print SCU, DICOM Storage Commitment and DICOM Worklist. FONET PACS also support “Clustering” architecture, can be installed as “Clustered” itself, and can use HL7 protocol between the relevant points.
